Thoughts upon Waking Up

Windows in my room.
I was going to write about how these windows had to do with the dream I had about a concentration camp where all of the guards were animals (which simultaneously makes sense, in an Animal Farm kind of way, and is also complete nonsense), but I have neither the time nor the inclination to fully explain the surreality of it.

I am not sure the recent absurdity of my dreams (which previously at least seemed like they had some sort of internal logic) is related to the sunlight that comes streaming into my bay windows (starting from about 5 in the morning). It could be the result of subconscious irritation based on being woken up several times an hour (every time I roll over and realize that the room is too bright to sleep). My room faces the east, so I do not think anything could be done about this, except sleeping in a coffin or something.

It is too gruesome to think of a coffin but double-lined heavy drapes will help. ;p

The coffin was just some black humor. In college, we had window-fitting shades that prevented almost all natural light from entering when they were lowered.

On the plus side, the brightness in my room makes it extremely difficult for me to oversleep.
