AOL Anti-Spam Guy
Via the Spam Kings blog comes the news of AOL's "Spammer's Gold" sweepstakes, which offers normal Internet users like me and you the chance to win a spammer's ill-begotten cash. From Spam Kings:

The AOL Spammer's Gold Sweepstakes runs from August 10 through August 19. According to the official rules, the Grand Prize is the Hummer (approximate retail value, $45,000) plus $20,000 in gold bars and $65,000 in cash. AOL is also giving away one daily cash prize of $1,000 to a entrants who answer a trivia question about online security and safety. (There's even a cheesy "Official AOL
Spam Patrol" certificate for people who participate each day of the contest!)

Personally, I think the coolest part of the contest can be found in the Official Rules (highlighted in bright yellow):
Information collected from entrant is used only for the purpose of the prize drawing and to notify the winner and will not be re-used, sold or shared in any manner by America Online, Inc., (the "Sponsor"), Marden-Kane, Inc., or any third parties. Once the Sweepstakes has ended, all information supplied by entrants will be removed from the database.

In other words, you won't receive any spam from entering the sweepstakes.
