Tarkio's Works to be Re-released

An exciting snippet of news from Pitchfork:

With the success of the Decemberists, Kill Rock Stars will be releasing a complete and comprehensive set of Tarkio material. Neither a date nor a full tracklist is available.

Tarkio, if you did not already know, was the band Colin Meloy was in before the Decemberists. They released one LP and on EP, both of which are very difficult to find. As I wrote last January, I have heard a bit of Tarkio. Their sound reminds of early Decemberists (circa Five Songs), which makes sense. Hopefully, Kill Rock Stars will include lyrics because transcribing lyrics is hard. I finished most of Eva Luna, but it is still too rough for public dissemination.
