North Korean Soccer Fans

Both the Marmot's Hole and North Korea Zone reported on the violence that accompanied North Korea's loss to Iran during a World Cup qualifying game earlier this week. However, this quote from KCNA is amazing (emphasis mine):
At the end of the match all the spectators were angered and vigorously protested the wrong refereeing by the [...]

The Ease of Hacking, or the Reality of our Virtual World

I chose not to comment about the HBS-ApplyYourself story because I was busy, and I forgot about it when I finally got some free time. I am more busy now than I was in the middle of March, but Matt Gline's column in today's Crimson annoyed me:

Here there be AdSense

This website now includes AdSense ads, currently located at the bottom of the page. I may change its location to make it more prominent, but I do not expect to make any significant amount of money, so it is not a major concern.

From today's New York Times editorial page, "A Fragile Success in Africa:"
Ghana does not have insurgents [...]

An exciting snippet of news from Pitchfork:
With the success of the Decemberists, Kill Rock Stars will be releasing a complete and comprehensive set of Tarkio material. Neither a date nor a full tracklist is available.
Tarkio, if you did not already know, was the band Colin Meloy was in before the Decemberists. They released one LP [...]
