When I first posted about blackspot sneakers back in July, I had just decided to buy them. In August, I ordered a pair. Now, I am actually wearing the freaking things.
They smell sort of funny (I assume it is a "new shoe" smell, rather than a "this shoe was made from organic materials" smell) and are a bit stiff, but I suppose that I just need to get used to them. They look pretty cool, though. I especially appreciate the fact that only the right shoe has the red dot at its tip, in recognition of the obvious fact that when kicking the ass of a major shoe company, most people are prone to use their right foot.
The shareholder certificate is nice too, although I wish I could find the page on the Blackspot website where I am supposed to login (I suspect it does not exist yet).
The Beginning of the End
A rivet fell off of one of my blackspot sneakers tonight.
