Even though I do not own a Mac (too expensive!), I have to admit that Apple is more forward-looking than many other technology companies. Take the release schedules of their operating systems. Not is there a new release every few months (a page straight out of the open-source playbook), but the codenames are easy to understand; they are all cat-related.
The latest release, Tiger, includes RSS support in Safari, which looks pretty cool. Although I am currently using Sage, I am looking forward to Thunderbird having RSS support.
